Hayman Gulch Wildfire

The project consisted of the application of straw over several burned areas within the USFS boundary of the Hayman Gulch Wildfire area. The straw was loaded onto nets that were aerially spread on the areas by helicopters. The straw mulch was used as an imitation pine needle cast to slow the erosion of the steep sloped areas. Approximately 8,300 acres were treated with straw on this project
