Chenoweth & Associates Environmental Consultants, LLC (C&A) is our consulting sister company. On many occasions C&A and WSRI work together to offer design build services. The Accounts Payable aspect of the position is responsible for review, data entry, and coding of materials and items on Purchase Orders and Invoices, selects and prints checks, process expense reimbursements, and reconciles Statements against posted invoices along with credits or finance charges. The Purchasing aspect of the position is responsible for assigning a PO# to each material request, obtaining approval on requests over a certain dollar amount, recording and checking purchase requests against the project's budget, tracking purchases on each project, placing orders and instructing on delivery or pickup.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain alphabetical files of purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Track each material purchase by job on a logged Xcel file.
  • Review and match invoices with purchase orders.
  • Review and match receiving tickets with purchase orders.
  • Sets invoices up for payment through purchasing data entry.
  • Sets up check requests for payment through accounts payable data entry.
  • Prepares invoices for payment through approval process and files once approved while they are pending payment.
  • Selects, prints checks, prints disbursement reports and updates payables.
  • Obtains signature on each check.
  • Posts manual checks and voided checks.
  • Files AP related documents
  • Prepares preliminary month end reports
  • Assists department personnel and vendors with questions or problems involving purchase orders, invoices, and payments.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Must be very detail oriented, have strong organization and time management skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate while establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all levels of personnel in the company, vendors, and clients.
  • Must be able to effectively organize work assignments, files, and office space.

Qualification Requirements

  • Demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality of accounting information.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly in a courteous, professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate ability to follow verbal and or written instructions.
  • Demonstrate ability to work under stressful conditions and to successfully handle stressful situations efficiently and effectively while also meeting critical deadlines.
  • Requires 3 to 5 years accounts payable and purchasing experience or a similar field.
  • Computer Proficiency: Must be accurate and proficient at data entry/typing and be able to use a 10-key calculator accurately by touch. Possess Internet and email skills and experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Job : Reclamation Foreman and Heavy Equipment Operators

Must have adequate previous experience with farm equipment or other heavy equipment. WSRI's equipment fleet includes hydroseeders/hydromulchers, straw mulchers, farm tractors, backhoes, track hoes, and dozers. Individuals without experience on specialized equipment such as hydroseeders/hydromulchers and hay/straw mulchers are trained extensively on this equipment initially. Foreman's position is a working position the majority of the time and supervises other equipment operators depending on project size and complexity. Req. indiv. that can work in a variety of hands on environments completing unique revegetation & erosion control processes. Knowledge of native grasses, fertilizer products, and erosion control products very helpful. Desire Foreman applicants that have a B.S. degree in Range Management, Agronomy, Forestry, or Soil Science. Periodic travel req.
